is the owner and founder of the marketing consultancy, Ajna Marketing Zone. Susan has over 20 years’ experience working at a senior level in a range of marketing roles across different industries. She has worked both in Ireland and Spain in the financial services, education, marketing agency and contact centre sectors.
Over 13 years of Susan’s career was spent with Bank of Ireland working in senior marketing roles, most notably in the areas of CRM, data analytics and customer research/insights.
As Head of CRM she led the bank’s development of their CRM strategy and oversaw the technical implementation of a world-class marketing database. She was also responsible for the implementation of a successful customer lifecycle and data management strategy.
Susan has been an independent judge for both the Irish Direct Marketing (now Smart Marketing) Awards and Irish Contact Centre Management Awards and is a member of Girl Geek Dinners.
She is currently Chairperson/Cathaoirleach of the successful Irish-language community radio station Raidió na Life and has been an active Board Member since 2007.
Qualifications & Skills
Susan holds a first class honours degree in International Marketing & Languages (Spanish & French) from Dublin City University as well as a first class Masters of Business Studies (International Business) from University College Dublin.
She also has a Diploma in Digital Marketing, is a Qualified Financial Adviser and is a Professional Member of the Institute of Bankers. Susan speaks fluent Irish and Spanish.
As well as running the Ajna Marketing Zone consultancy, Susan is an enthusiastic yoga practitioner. She is a certified yoga teacher since 2009, has taught internationally and currently teaches Bikram, Vinyasa and Yin yoga part-time in Dublin. She is the founder of Ajna Yoga Zone. When not helping businesses discover the power of data-driven marketing she can be found either on her yoga mat or enjoying a glass of sauvignon blanc.
